Conflict is normal in every relationship. What matters is how you handle it.
Every couple disagrees. Healthy relationships aren't free of conflict; they're the ones where both people feel heard.
Choose the right moment
Avoid starting a difficult conversation when either of you is tired, hungry or rushing out of the door.
Start softly
Begin with how you feel rather than what your partner did wrong. "I've been feeling lonely lately" lands very differently from "You never spend time with me."
Listen to understand
Try repeating back what you heard before responding. It slows things down and shows you care.
If the same arguments keep coming back, couples therapy can give you both a safe space and new tools.
